The
Easter message was celebrated through themed games and craft activities where
people could...........
Follow
the clues in an Easter Egg Hunt
Take part in an
Egg & Spoon Race
Have a go at ‘Hook-a-Duck’ or ‘Splat the Donkey Dung’
‘Get in the Picture’ by having their photo taken alongside a donkey in
our Palm Sunday scene
Roll the stone to knock down the skittles
Play in a sandpit
Decorate an egg, create an ‘
Edible
Easter
Garden
’, play with clay or paint, colour in their own Easter cube, make a badge
or have an Easter tattoo transfer
Take part in a Penalty Shootout and win a medal
Play a game of Rounders, Giant Jenga or Connect 4
Write a prayer in the quiet zone
Hot
dogs, burgers, cakes and drinks were served free of charge.
Many
people took the opportunity to write a verse in a special copy of the Bible
being handwritten to mark the 400th Anniversary of the publication
of the King James Bible.
Entertainment
was provided by Paul Brown of Magical Mayhem who ran a Circus Skills workshop
and performed two magic shows. The afternoon ended with a song to the theme of
the ‘hokey cokey’ and a visit from the puppets Larry and Barbara.
A
big thank you to all of the volunteers who worked so hard to make the event a
success.
